Physio Connex Performance Clinic supports Central Coast’s biggest step challenge
This September, we were very excited to be involved in the Central Coasts biggest step challenge!
Our friend and local physical activity champion Dr Ash Bowden aka Doctor Do More, and Central Coast Primary Care joined forces to run Central Coast’s biggest step challenge to help fight cancer. From September 1st until September 30th Coasties came together in teams to step it out and help raise much needed funds for cancer research. Physio Connex Performance Clinic was thrilled to be able to support this fantastic initiative.
Local emergency doctor and popular advocate for getting the Coast moving more through his free local physical activity search engine https://do-more.live/, Dr Ash Bowden is excited to be a contestant in the up and coming Cancer Councils “Stars of the Coast competition”. The Step Challenge is a great way to get people moving more and the funds raised will be directed to the Cancer Council.
The Physio Connex team stepped out in September as a team, completing 1.8 million steps throughout the entire month! We joined a number of other fantastic local businesses in donating great prizes for some lucky steppers. I’m sure you saw our social channels and the scenic walks we found ourselves on!
COVID-19 friendly
Now more than ever, taking care of yourself and those you care about is paramount. Physical and mental health is a huge component of this which is why regular physical activity is so important. This fundraiser challenge was COVID-19 friendly, allowing people to stay mentally and physically active by encouraging the simplest form of movement, walking!
