In the world of allied health and fitness, navigating the diverse landscape of health and exercise professionals can be daunting and it’s easy to feel confused about who to turn to for your specific needs. One of the main challenges people face is determining which exercise professional is the right fit for their unique circumstances.
Here at Physio Connex Performance Clinic we don’t just fix pain; our goal is for our patients to return to their chosen activity or sport whilst performing even better than before! The key is to develop both strength and resilience to reduce the chance of reinjury and further interruption to your life. Our staff develop an understanding of your personal goals and potential barriers to ensure the application of ‘high performance’ treatment principles are integrated appropriately.
Our vision is to provide you with the right tools and environment where you get access to both Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists/Strength Coaches within your treatment plan. By booking a Hybrid Rehab Consultation you will have not just one, but TWO health professionals working with you, at no extra cost!
Each expert brings their unique skills to the rehabilitation plan, but it’s the brainstorming and teamwork between them that truly yields positive outcomes. Collaboration is crucial, with getting the best result for you on your health and performance journey being of utmost importance.
How do I start? By first selecting where you are in your injury or performance timeline.
Acute Pain
The perfect place to start is with a Physiotherapist. Physiotherapists are clinical professionals with expert knowledge in anatomy, biomechanics and exercise programming. Following a thorough 60-minute assessment, their focus is to formulate a diagnosis, restore mobility and function, reduce inflammation, ease muscle spasm
through massage and manual therapy, and start to rebuild strength following injury. They will also start to formulate a rehab plan to plot your return to your chosen activity or sport. To book an Initial Consultation with a Physiotherapist – please book here.
Time to Get Stronger (and Collaborate!)
Building strength and power following injury is an important step following injury. After the initial pain subsides, you will continue to have limitations on aspects of your life as you are yet to restore 100% strength – this may be a limit to how many kilo’s you can lift, how far you can walk, or how fast you can run.
Working with our clinical team in a Hybrid Rehab Consultation will give you access to not just our Physiotherapists but also our Exercise Physiology team. Accredited Exercise Physiologists are university-qualified health professionals with experience in detailed assessment and expert exercise programming.
At no extra cost, you have BOTH health professionals collaborating as we formulate your rehabilitation plan – ensuring that not only is your acute injury continuing to improve and strengthen, but also the rest of your body! If you are new to us, we suggest starting with a consult with our Physiotherapy team and following assessment we will transition you into the Hybrid program. In this zone, you will work with our expert Exercise Physiology and Strength Coaching team, looking to enhance strength and fitness, work on lifestyle goals, whilst building resilience to flare-ups and chance of reinjury. You may be at the back end of a long rehab journey with our Physiotherapy team or you may start with our Exercise Physiologist or Strength Coach to build your program.
